The Open Source China Open Source World Summit is organized by China OSS Promotion Union (COPU). Since 2006, sixteen sessions of the summit have been successfully held, becoming a grand annual event in China's open source community and an international academic forum with far-reaching impact. With the support of government departments, the summit has effectively promoted communication, sharing, collaboration and services among the open source community, enterprises, universities, research institutions and users, advanced exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign open source communities and enterprises, facilitated the training of open source volunteers and amateurs by education departments, communities and experts, encouraging and assisting them to make contributions to this cause, and fully driven the development of open source software in China and the world.
