On June 13, 2024, CCID and the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China) jointly held a roundtable for foreign-funded enterprises in China, who had extensive exchanges and discussions on ways of promoting new industrialization and international cooperation. Zhang Xiaoyan, Vice President of CCID, presided over the meeting. On the part of AmCham China, Vice President Ms. Claire Ma attended the meeting. Business representatives included over 10 foreign-funded enterprises, including Dell, SAP, Amazon, HPE, GE Aviation, and Johnson & Johnson.

At the meeting, the heads of relevant research institutes of CCID shared industry policies and industry developments around 4 major topics, including “new industrialization”, “digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises”, “industrial decarbonization” and “digital transformation of the manufacturing industry”. Representatives of 5 foreign-funded enterprises delivered keynote speeches, sharing information about the development of their enterprises in China, technological innovation, and their suggestion for future industry development.
AmCham China and representatives of foreign-funded enterprises in China said that the business environment in China has continued to improve in recent years. This meeting played an important role in further deepening their understanding of China’s new industrialization efforts. They also expressed their willingness to carry out various forms of exchanges and cooperation with the CCID, including by sharing more experiences and practices about high-end, intelligent, and green industry development, so as to actively participate in the development of China’s new industrialization.
Ms. Zhang said that CCID attached great importance to foreign exchange and cooperation and is willing to continue to play a positive bridging role. By strengthening regular exchanges with AmCham China and foreign-funded enterprises, jointly carrying out research, holding seminars and engaging in joint projects, as well as by actively exploring joint research on related topics, it aims to help foreign-funded enterprises develop and grow in China, integrate into China’s new industrialization process and achieve mutual benefits for both sides.
