From January 12 to 13, 2024, Michael Yeoh, President of Kingsley Strategy Institute (KSI), Malaysia, and his delegation paid a field visit to Xiamen City, Fujian Province. They listened to the introduction to the local enterprises of science and technology and pre-cooked food in Xiamen, and had in-depth discussions with the enterprises on their business development and plans of expanding the market overseas. Wang Xuhui, Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Tong'an District, Xiamen City, Chen Xi, Director of the Investment Promotion Department of Xiamen Industry and Information Technology Bureau, and Hou Xue, Deputy Director of the CCID International Cooperation Research Center, accompanied the delegation.

On January 12, President Yeoh and his delegation f, and conducted on-site research on five science and technology-based enterprises, namely, Reconova, Keynote Telecommunications, Dragoninfo, Touch Information and Meitu, which are specialized in on key areas such as AI, intelligent parking and big data. During the seminars, President Yeoh fully acknowledged the achievements of the enterprises. He believed that many of the their products demonstrated great value to go global, and that KSI, as one of the GDI-PartNIR Network, was willing to build up the bridge of cooperation between Chinese and ASEAN enterprise to help the Chinese products to develop the ASEAN market. CCID intends to carry out the initial top-level design of the cooperation with KSI.

On January 13, President Yeoh and his delegation visited three precooked food enterprises, inlcuding Yinxiang Group, Lianhua Foods and Leju Foods in Tongan District, Xiamen City. President Yeoh said that the demonstrated products have great potential to be exported to ASEAN. To be specific, the demonstrated precooked food suit well the taste of the ASEAN people, which opens up a remarkable market in ASEAN countries. Currently, KSI has reached a preliminary cooperation intention with Tong'an District Government, and hopes that with the support of CCID, both sides can advance the in-depth cooperation with a well-designed framework.

Through this field visit, the Network members had a face-to-face discussion with the Xiamen Industry and Information Technology Bureau and local enterprises in Xiamen. In the future, CCID will continue to promote the research and exchanges between the Network members and contribute to the international industrial cooperation and exchange.
