The Center for BRICS and Global Governance

The Center for BRICS and Global Governance (CBGG), headquartered in Beijing, is an independent and non-profit international think tank. It aims to bring together the BRICS countries and the world’s top policymakers, academics and industry leaders to focus on the profound changes in the world economy, improve global economic and financial governance and provide forward-looking intellectual support and policy advice on strengthening and improving global governance. In recent years, the research reports developed by CBGG experts on strategic topics such as the “Belt and Road Initiative", RMB internationalization, digital currency, cross-border payment, consumer finance, and the convergence of rules in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Great Bay Area have been endorsed by state leaders, and some policy recommendations have been well received and fed into policy making by national and provincial authorities in China. CBGG  is currently a cooperative consulting unit of several ministries and local governments in China. CBGG is a member unit of the Think Tank Cooperation Alliance of the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Innovation Base initiated by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the 12th BRICS Leaders' Meeting.
