Huaqiao University (HQU) is a comprehensive university, directly under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China and jointly run by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China and the Fujian Provincial People's Government. It has two campuses in Xiamen and Quanzhou respectively. HQU enjoys over 2,900 remarkable teaching and auxiliary staff. HQU has 35,010 full-time undergraduates and graduates, among which 7,622 are students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and over 90 countries and regions. HQU has become the paradise where Eastern and Western cultures gather and interact with each other, highlighted by the campus culture of “the Leading Culture Blended with Multi-cultures and Seeking Harmony in Diversity”.
